Dining choices in Sedona Verde Valley

Delicious Dining Choices in Cottonwood    Memorable Dining in Camp Verde    Bite Into Jerome     Sedona Chefs Seek Out Local Ingredients    Mexican Food in Sedona and the Verde Valley    Special to Kudos: St. Patrick's Day Chef's Tour of Ireland    Boots and Burgers    Arizona Stronghold Tasting Room

When it comes to dining, the Verde Valley is like a double-dip ice cream cone.  Visitors will love eating here, but the real benefactors of the region's burgeoning tourism industry are local residents. You see, in order to satisfy the culinary preferences of more than 4 million visitors, this region's dedicated restaurateurs have established a list of outstanding restaurants that in itself is an interesting menu. Consequently, the exceptional choice of style, atmosphere, décor and flavor developed for tourists from around the world continually is available to the people who live here.

Indeed, the Verde Valley might be expected to offer a dozen favorite dining spots, this area features dozens and dozens of wonderful places to eat – many of them rated among the best restaurants in Arizona, and several have earned national acclaim.  And with reference to the dining pleasures of visitors and residents alike, whether they prefer French, Italian, Mexican, classic American, cowboy or Southwestern; regardless of what setting they choose – indoors, on a patio or deck surrounded by a garden or by a creek; and no matter what style is most comfortable – sophisticated, casually elegant, simply casual or come-as-you-are, they are sure to find the food superb, the environment delightful and the service totally satisfying.

Additionally, several of our finest restaurants are known to feature stocks of wines that include as many as 1,000 bottles. Also, a large number of establishments offer locally brewed beers, and a growing number of intimate cocktail lounges with live music have become favorite gathering places.

"Arizona Eats: Pizza restaurants around the state" (a Special for the AZ Republic)

Of course, many visitors are members of active families so enthusiastic about hiking, biking and similar outdoor activities, taking time for a relaxed sit-down dinner is out of the question.  No problem, because though nationally known fast-food franchises might not sport traditional, brightly colored signs and logos, they are available – and an impressive variety of sandwich shops, pizza places and gourmet delis are scattered throughout this area.

Dining in the Verde Valley ranges from casual to gourmet and includes a wide variety of cuisines.  Coffee houses serve espresso and cappuccino, award-winning chefs offer inventive menus, and other eateries abound with selections from tacos and sushi to vegetarian fare or cowboy steak.
One thing for sure! – you won’t go hungry here, no matter what your taste is.
