Celebrate the Sedona Night Sky III Presented by Evening Sky Tours, LLC. October 30, 2008 7-9 p.m. Posse Grounds Upper Baseball Field Grass Sedona visitors are invited to a free event on October 30, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. to Celebrate the Sedona Night Sky III, presented by Evening Sky Tours, LLC. This event is the third in the series of free community events to highlight the beauty of Sedona's starry skies.
No reservations are necessary.
Families are welcome to bring a blanket and picnic and sit on the outfield grass of the upper field of the Posse Grounds baseball field. "The sky should be beautiful on the night of our event. We will see the Milky Way right through the middle of the sky." said Clifford Ochser, Founder and President of Evening Sky Tours, LLC. “In June of 2007 we had over 300 people come out to enjoy a terrific event. I hope just as many or more come out this year and we are so pleased to be able to continue to offer these free events for the Sedona community.” Telescopes will be set up to view Jupiter, galaxies star clusters and other celestial objects compliments of presenting sponsor Evening Sky Tours, LLC and Astronomers of the Verde Valley.
The event is presented by Evening Sky Tours, LLC and sponsored by Keep Sedona Beautiful; International Dark Sky Association, Sedona Section; Sierra Club of Verde Valley; Astronomers of the Verde Valley and the Sedona Verde Valley Times.
