PUMPKIN WALK AT THE ARBORETUM
Enjoy a spooky evening in the gardens illuminated by carved pumpkins
FLAGSTAFF, Thursday, September 29, 2011. The Arboretum at Flagstaff
presents the Pumpkin Walk on October 15, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy
the gardens in the evening while following a path illuminated by creatively
carved pumpkins. Guests can enjoy hot cider, a fire pit, and nocturnal animal
displays. Kids can decorate and go home with a new trick-or-treating tote bag.
Join the fun and come in costume! Visitors are encouraged to bring a
flashlight.
To participate in the Pumpkin Walk as a carver, drop off your pumpkin between
9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15. There is a $10 entry fee for
businesses and a $5 entry fee for families or individuals. Pumpkin entry fees
cover admission costs in the evening portion.
The Arboretum is also hosting a carving session from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00
p.m.

The Arboretum is a botanical garden, research center, and nature preserve
dedicated to educating the public about the plants and plant communities of the
Colorado Plateau. It is located four miles south of Route 66 on scenic Woody
Mountain Road in West Flagstaff. Admission costs are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors
and $3 for children 3-17.
