Chamber Golf Tourney Ready to Tee Off! 

Cottonwood, Ariz. – (June 2007) – Come join your friends for a round of golf!  Entry forms for the fifth annual Cottonwood Chamber Golf Challenge are now available at the Cottonwood Chamber.  The Shotgun start is scheduled for 8:00 am on Saturday, July 28, at the beautiful Verde Santa Fe Golf Course. 

Major sponsor RHIpeo is joined by returning sponsors Coldwell Banker-Mabery Real Estate, ServiceMaster, UniSource Energy, Main Place, Murphy’s Grill, Arizona State Credit Union and Verde Santa Fe Golf Course.  A new sponsor this year is First State Bank.

A lucky hole in one will win a player a brand new 2007 SLT Dodge Nitro courtesy of Oxendale.

Last year the Chamber Golf Tournament sold out with over 100 players participating, including several from out of town.

 “We hope that area businesses, particularly hotels and restaurants, will see this as an excellent marketing opportunity during a traditionally slow time,” explains Lori Mabery, committee chairperson.  “Verde Valley golfers will come out and play anytime,” Mabery says.  “In July, Phoenix players are looking for a retreat from the heat.”

Despite increased expenses, the entry fee remains the same at $80 for a single player and a foursome for $320 (Early Bird Special is $70 and $280, valid until July 1, 2007).  The entry fee includes a continental breakfast and buffet lunch.  This makes it one of the best tournament deals in the state.

Cart, tee and hole sponsorship opportunities are still available.  Chamber volunteers will also be calling on community businesses for prizes and items to be included in the golfers “goodie bags”.  There is no charge to include a logo’d item in the goodie bags.
