Jerome “Backyard gARTen Walk” debuts on October 2nd
Visit the mile high mountain town of Jerome, AZ on October 2 for the inaugural “Backyard gARTen Walk”. This first time event will be an afternoon of workshops, music and plein air painters in 3 charming gardens, all clustered on lovely Juarez Street. Each garden will host one or more interesting workshops. Learn about decorating your garden with found art, cultivating roses, creating a water feature and composting. Or simply enjoy the music, artists at work and beautiful October weather in historic Jerome. Stay for first Saturday Art Walk beginning at 5:00PM. The “Backyard gARTen Walk” is from 12:00 to 4:00PM with tickets sold at the stairway by the Jerome Artist’s Co-operative. For more information, contact Karen at (602) 989-9634. Wear comfortable shoes, as there is plenty of walking. Tickets are $10 with the proceeds going to The Audrey Headframe Park.

Come to Jerome to spend a lovely afternoon in the Backyard Gardens and stay for Jerome Art Walk. This “All New” gARTen walk was created for the garden enthusiast who understands that gardening is an art form. The workshops are designed for guests to stay awhile and enjoy all the ambience, art, music, beautiful views as well get great information to take home and put to use! Visitors are strongly advised to wear walking shoes. The gardens are clustered on Juarez Street but there are elevations and stairs to climb in Jerome’s magical backyards. Buy tickets by the Jerome Artists Co-op on Main Street and begin the tour with a walk down a charming but very vertical stairway. Parking is available throughout the town or in the large parking lot by the fire station.
